Paula, I know we are still connected and will always be as life is more than just our physical bodies. Even so, you are so deeply missed and one day we will be together again. Eternal love will keep us bound together.
Dear Paula,
I can still hear giggling coming from your makeup room. You’ve inspired, touched, and impacted more people than you know. Your makeup chair isn’t just a place to be beautified by you but a safe place to talk and share. To this day, best memories I cherish of Rubie’s are the shoot days. Not only that, but sitting around the table eating lunch together. It didn’t matter the topic, we’re all learning from you. Your artistic talent is adored by all, everyone who leaves your presence is a better person for just being around you.
The bond you and Seth have should be made into a movie. By you two just being you, this shows what a loving, healthy, and fun(!) relationship is.
I’m still in shock about Paula’s passing. In the short time I knew her through D’art Gallery, I always felt her warmth, kindness and generous nature. Seth, I am so sorry for your loss of your wonderful creative life partner. Together, you were indeed a source of inspiration for a long and loving marriage. Your loss has made me cherish my husband more each moment knowing our time together could be over in a heartbeat. Our hearts break with yours. Love to you during this time of grief.
Visits with you both have inspired us to work harder at life. We saw the joy and love you share. The talent that was given and developed is awesome that you enjoy sharing with others. Thanks for sharing those gifts with those whom you interacted with. We now have those wonderful memories to keep.
Thank you
Seth, so sorry to hear about Paula passing. I thought you two were such a wonderful couple. I enjoyed your photography and Paul’s masterful hand with makeup and hair. She was also there for me when we lived in Kansas to dog sit for Jake when I had to travel out of town for work. She will be greatly missed.
Take care,
Anne Mohney
Dear, Paula:
I miss our weekly watercolor meetups and zoom chats. Our chance meeting in a watercolor class was the beginning of a friendship I will unlikely have again. I miss seeing your posts on Instagram showing the beautiful artwork you created and catching up on our lives. We had hoped to travel in 2024 to see you and Seth. You are sorely missed in the Zoom watercolor group -we did all meet for a luncheon on your birthday-memories were shared by all. Your love and light could fill a space and was fully reflected in your art. I know we will forever be connected through art. Gary and I sending loving condolences to Seth and your dear family, whom I know continue to struggle with the reality of your passing. I am pretty sure you were around on my walk at Liberty Station last week-San Diego rarely has cardinals but there was one sitting in a tree enjoying the sunrise. Even birds benefit from Vitamin D.
