Mary Ann Hughes was born August 16, 1942 in Bayonne, New Jersey to Susan and Walter Staton.
She passed away on August 24, 2023 after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma one week prior.
Mary Ann married John Hughes on November 23, 1966 and were married for 39 years before John passed away in 2005.
She is survived by her younger brother, Joseph Staton, daughters, Machelle, Melissa (Lisa) and Melinda.
She has three grandchildren, Maya, Kye, and Willow, and two son in-laws Scott Snow and Darren Conner and her sister in law Barbara Collins.
Mary Ann graduated from Bayonne High School in 1960 and attended California of Berkeley.
She worked for United Airlines for 30 years as a customer service representative and retired in 2002.
MaryAnn loved traveling the world, gardening, playing cards, going to the theater, and spending time with family and her three grandchildren.
Mary Ann was social and engaged in her active adult communities of Anthem in Broomfield and Inspiration Hilltop in Aurora going to social events and playing card games with friends.
She remained feisty and positive until the very end and will be tremendously missed by her family and friends.
