1990-2022
Tyler Stilley, loving son, brother, and grandson, passed away unexpectedly on September 8th, 2022. Tyler was born in Denver, CO on January 24, 1990 to Mark Stilley and Cheryl (Dussart) Stilley, and shortly thereafter, the family moved to Ft. Collins, CO. In 1996, the family moved to Durango, CO where Tyler attended school and flourished while skiing, playing soccer and golf and enjoying anything that had to do with the outdoors. He also played basketball, baseball, was in school plays and was always a hit at the family talent shows. He had little competition as the rest of the family has no talent. In 2006, the family relocated to Indian Hills, CO. Tyler graduated from Evergreen High School; the ceremony was held at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. He was exceptionally intelligent and thrived in the classroom and independent studies of the world around him, especially psychology, religions, and the cosmos. He completed coursework at University of Colorado-Boulder, Community College of Denver, and Red Rocks Community College, earning acceptance into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Tyler was known for his kind heart and compassion. The words that he would put in birthday cards, Mother’s Day cards, Father’s day cards and Christmas cards were from a source of deep love and eloquence. They always made us melt. He put other’s concerns and well-being above his own. We will miss him dearly.
Tyler is survived by his mother (Cheryl), father (Mark), sister (Kira Stilley), stepmother (Myrna Stilley), grandmothers (Charlene Dussart and Virginia Stilley) and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers (Charlie Dussart and Lee Stilley), and uncle (Randy Dussart).
His studies on Earth completed, he now joins his loved ones in Heaven and waits on the rest of us.

Tyler was all of this! He was loved by all of his relatives. We hold tight to all of our wonderful memories. Rest In Peace Tyler.

I knew Tyler for about a month and he made a good impression on me.
Matter of fact, he came to me after a class and gifted me a little black book. It’s called the Little Book of Coincidence. I will attach a picture or two. The class before we had been discussing the concepts of different tuning methods in music, and he seemed very interested in that. He pointed out a couple of the chapters in the book related to how in old times certain notes were assigned to heavenly bodies and planets. He also gave me a handwritten note with a scientific formula for tuning in wavelengths. Fascinating.
Looking back at my calendar and also the email that he sent me in the morning, he talked to me and gave me the book on September 8th. I can’t believe it. He was in my class that morning. He sent me an email at 8am that morning letting me know that he would be a few minutes late. He also said to remind him to give me the little black book that he thought I might like to glance at. A very thoughtful email.
I’m very sad to hear of his passing, and glad that he came into my life if only for a short period. He had mentioned he wanted to get better at playing music and loved music and that was why he was taking the class. He was a very pleasant person to be around and was great in my class. Asked deep questions. Other students liked him.
