Flame cremation

The familiar choice, held with care.

For many families, cremation is simply the right answer: familiar, simple, and what their person asked for. We honor that choice completely. What changes here is everything around it, the reverence, the transparency, and the time your family is given to say goodbye.

What makes it different here

In our care, start to finish

The cremation itself is carried out by a licensed crematory we have worked with for years and trust completely. Everything either side of it, the care of your person, the paperwork, the return of the ashes, stays with us, handled by people whose names you know.

Reverence at every step

Reverent Body Care® is available if your family wishes it: gentle bathing and anointing before cremation, with family welcome to take part. Vigils and farewells happen at your pace, never ours.

Plain prices, the moment you ask

No packages that hide what things cost, no quiet add-ons. You will know exactly what you are choosing and exactly what it costs, before you choose it.

Open-air pyre, in rare cases

Some families ask about an open-air pyre ceremony. It is possible only in the limited circumstances where Colorado air-quality permitting allows, so we cannot promise it. Ask us and we will tell you honestly what is available to you.

After the ashes come home

Your person's ashes are returned to your family in a simple, beautiful vessel. Some families keep them close. Some scatter them somewhere loved. And some choose Parting Stone, which transforms the ashes into smooth stones each member of the family can hold and carry, so no one has to say goodbye to the goodbye.

Offsetting what flame cremation costs the air

Flame cremation uses energy and releases carbon, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. So for every flame cremation we arrange, we make a donation that plants fifty trees. It is not an add-on and there is nothing to opt into: it happens for every family, and it is our own cost to carry rather than yours.
