Learn · Grief support

Grief has no schedule.

It does not end at the ceremony, and it does not follow anyone's timeline, including yours. Some days it is a wave and some days it is weather, and both are normal. Whatever day this is for you, we are glad you are here, and we want you to know that our door does not close after the goodbye.

Company for the road

We hold community gatherings through the year: unhurried conversations about death, grief, and everything people are usually too polite to say out loud. No agenda, no expectation that anyone shares anything. Many people come simply to sit among others who understand. Our labyrinth is also open whenever you need it.

They are open to everyone, whether we cared for your person or not. Learn about our gatherings, or ask us when the next one is.

Call us, truly

Families sometimes apologize for calling months after a service, as if grief were supposed to be finished by then. Please do not apologize. Call to ask a question, to tell us a story about your person, or because a hard day needs a kind voice. We answer at any hour, and we have time for you.

This page will grow. We are gathering the counselors, groups, and reading our families have found most helpful, and we will share them here soon.

A hard day is reason enough to call

No question required, no time limit on grief. A kind voice answers at any hour.
