Teresa “Teri” Webb Jonas
September 10, 1942 – July 3, 2025
Teri Jonas, a most beloved spirit, died peacefully at the age of 82 on July 3, 2025 in Boulder, Colorado. Though Teri was born and raised in Texas and spent much of her life living there, she and her husband, Ron, moved to Colorado in 2019 to be closer to one of her daughters and son-in-law as they aged.
An artist and sensitive soul, Teri spent her entire adult life immersed in her art career as she simultaneously raised a family in Ohio and Indiana. She could be seen regularly at juried art festivals during the Midwest summers, with her watercolors of that time period ranging from ethereal to playful. In the early 1990’s, Teri returned to Texas and began working with pastels, knowing intuitively that it was the medium she was meant to work with in the later years of her life.
Teri was nationally recognized for her pastels; she was featured in Southwest Art magazine, with her original art represented most recently by Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, Texas and SmithKlein Gallery in Boulder, Colorado, and limited edition works offered by Grand Image. Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in early 2019, Teri continued to work with pastels, producing some of her most poignant and mature work in the two years following.
Teri is survived by her husband, Ronald William Jonas, and two daughters, Kimberly Jonas and Tiffany Loos.
