Sharon Leigh Jarrett

Sharon Leigh Jarrett, born October 3, 1958, passed away on March 4, 2026, following complications from a traumatic brain injury sustained in June 2025. Her departure leaves a profound sense of loss among those who were fortunate enough to know her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering compassion.

Sharon was the beloved daughter of Billie and Tom Jarrett, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her brother, Michael. As the child of an Air Force serviceman, Sharon experienced a childhood filled with discovery, living in many places including Germany. These early experiences fostered her curiosity, adaptability, and appreciation for the world’s diverse beauty.

A registered dietician with a keen scientific mind, Sharon dedicated herself to helping others through her work in nutrigenomics at her firm, Food Not Pharmacy. She approached her profession with intelligence, integrity, and a deep desire to improve the lives of her patients. Her ability to blend scientific insight with genuine empathy made her a trusted practitioner and a comfort to many.

Sharon’s talents reached far beyond her professional life. She was exceptionally well read, endlessly curious, and remarkably gifted in crafts such as crocheting. She also excelled in macro photography, capturing the delicate intricacies of the natural world with both technical skill and an artist’s eye.

For more than 26 years, Sharon shared a devoted, extraordinary partnership with her wife, Leann Dittman. Their bond was nothing short of epic—an enduring love story that inspired everyone who witnessed it. Together, they raised their son, David, who brought immense joy and pride to Sharon’s life. Sharon, Leann and their dogs cherished time spent camping, hiking, and immersing themselves in the peaceful sounds of the forest they loved so dearly.

Above all, Sharon will be remembered for her immense kindness. She was someone who loved freely, listened deeply, and gave generously of her time and heart. Her quiet strength, warm presence, and ability to make others feel seen and valued will be deeply missed.

Sharon’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—with her compassion, her wisdom, and her love that knew no limits.
