Rosalyn Wright-Cohen

Beloved and beautiful mother, grandmother, and teacher Rosalyn (rōsa-lin) Wright-Cohen—known to many for her giant heart, passion for life, exceptional determination, and unwavering strength— peacefully passed away at 71 years old near Boulder on Saturday, July 23rd.

She was born to Louisa Rosa Karle and Wiborn Harrison Floyd Wright, on October 8, 1950 in Michigan where she lived for many years with her sisters Vivian and Janet. She lovingly mothered 4 children, born in Connecticut, starting in 1979: Evan “Sin” Marshall, Shayna Louise (Charlie, Margot), Joslyn Wrae (Patrick, Penelope) and Bryan Joseph (Kai).

Our family relocated from Easton Connecticut to Boulder Colorado in 1991 where Rosalyn continued to pursue her passion for education and helping students grow by teaching at Boulder High School for over 30 years. She sacrificed many luxuries to ensure her children had the greatest quality of life. She took an active interest and participation in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, building many happy, and lasting, memories.

If you were touched by Rosalyn, we invite you to join us for a celebration of her life. For more details, visit https://forms.gle/YhJfj6Bndp6BU2bE6.
