  1. Much loved and dearly missed sad i will not be ableto pay my respects in person. I will miss our conversations and walks where we would talk about engineering and other things. You were always joyful and positive and always by nanny’s side. You helped me break away from a bad job for this I am so grateful. you would always think about others. Much love from us three. Always my uncle. Always in my heart. Richard now be at peace.

  2. He was the love of my mother’s life. He was everything my father was not. Kind, gentle and interested in hearing what you had to say and did not think of women as 2nd class citizens. He showed us the real American places to visit not just the tourist traps. He always made sure that there were berry wine coolers in the fridge when they were popular and l loved to drink them. He let me drive his brand new Chrysler New Yorker, confident that l would not break it, l was not so sure but he was right. He really took care of us all and most of all our mother. He will be missed by all of his English/German family living in France.

  3. He was a dear kind man, and always looked out for his step-children and grand-children. I remember many morning walks with him and whichever dog was around at the time. Walking in the early morning talking politics and family. A good memory is being taken out to an all-American diner and experiencing that. He made my Mum happy and that was enough for me. He will be missed but he will be remembered with love. On our first visit to America, when we had two little boys in tow he lent me and John his shiny new car, it was maroon and and beautiful and me and John had a mini road trip all the way up to Maine. With the fabulous car and the road rolling out in front of us we were free! Safe in the knowledge that Mum and Richard would look after our children. I am so grateful he took a special interest in mentoring Harry and helping him find his way. Thank you Richard. xx

  4. He was a gentleman always. Very kind and loved animals. I didn’t know him very long but all of the times we met socially, he was intelligent, and his sense of humor was perfect.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

  5. We are very said because of the death of Richard. We didn’t know him personally, only from video calls. He was a very kind and empathetic person. Christel loved him very much. Our thoughts are with Christel and the family.

  6. I have known Dick Kiley since the 1970’s as he was the brother of my very dear friend, Clare. In fact the Kiley family was very much “my” family during those years.

I will forever be grateful to Dick because it was Dick who recommended my husband, Ron for a job with AAVID THERMALOY in New Hampshire in 1990. This job turned out to be the peak of my husband’s career and the 22 years we spent in New Hampshire were some of the best of our lives. Thank you again Dick.
Blessings to his family in their loss.

  7. I have been very lucky to have had 2 Fathers in my life. The word “Step Father” does not describe the relationship I had with my “Other Father”. My Dad’s kindness, love, generosity and most of all his wisdom have truly impacted my life in every way. No words can describe how much I will miss him. Rest in Peace Dad…
