Portrait of Rahim Nekoorad

In Loving Memory

Rahim Nekoorad

May 18, 1934 – March 4, 2022

Rahim Nekoorad was born on 5/18/1934 and passed away at TRU Hospice unit on 3/4/2022 surrounded by his family. He was kind hearted and always had a smile that lit up the room.

The most pride and joy of his life was being married to his sweetheart wife, Fereshteh Jahangir. They married in 1962. They had 3 children, Homayoun, Haleh and Homa. He loved his family and adored his 6 grandchildren. He loved traveling and took several trips from Iran to Europe. He enjoyed taking family trips to the Caspian Sea.

He was born in Tabriz, Iran. Studied Mechanical Engineering at Tehran University. He was a successful engineer at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company. He was instrumental in designing and laying gas pipes between Iran and Azerbaijan. This job took him to many different cities in Iran and several trips to England and the US. He retired from the refinery in 1984.

He moved from Tehran to Nashville, TN in 1985 in an attempt to make a better life for his 3 children and wife. Leaving his family and the life he knew behind. This was a very difficult transition for them, moving to a foreign country with a totally different culture with 3 teenagers. He started a new business in Nashville and lived in Brentwood for many years. He enjoyed helping other people including his family in Iran.

In 2003 he finally retired and moved to Longmont, CO to be close to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his children and grandchildren. He took many fun trips to the beach and Disney with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Feresteh, his children Homayoun, Haleh and Homa, and his 6 grandchildren Arman, Angela, Lilia, Melody, Ryan and Sophie.

We would like to thank the staff at Landmark Community for caring for him and treating him like a loved family member.
