Portrait of Lisa Sanger

In Loving Memory

Lisa Sanger

Born December 23, 1972

Lisa Brown Lindwall Sanger passed away in Longmont after a short, heroic battle with cancer. She was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin on December 23, 1972 and adopted by her loving parents, Jon and Barbara Lindwall. Lisa grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed horseback riding, and water skiing, and participated in cross-country and track. She attended University of Wisconsin-Stout, and represented the school on the cross-country and track teams. She taught pre-school in Wisconsin before fulfilling her dream of moving to Colorado, living first in the Vail and Avon areas and then moving to Boulder where she taught in the Boulder Head Start and then at Wild Plum Center in Longmont. Lisa married the love of her life Dan Sanger on December 28, 2009 and became step-mom to Matt and Katie Sanger. In 2014, Dan and Lisa were blessed with a son, William Finn Sanger, whom she loved more than words can describe.

Lisa was a creative and organic soul, running her own soap business and authoring a children’s book with Dan. She was a lover of nature and animals. Time spent hiking, snowshoeing, or camping in the mountains with friends or family filled her heart with happiness.

Her father, Jon, predeceased her in December, 2020. In addition to Dan, Matt, Katie, and Finn, Lisa is survived by her mother, Barbara Lindwall, brother Todd (Julie) Lindwall, niece and nephew Krista and Colin Lindwall and in-laws Nancy and Dave Sanger, brother-in-law Andy (Jenifer), and niece and nephew, Kaylee and Justin Sanger.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the American Brain Tumor Foundation.
