Kevin Sipple

The family of Kevin Michael Sipple is heartbroken to announce that our son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend passed away at his home in Eldorado Springs, Colorado in late April 2022. He was 66 years old. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 11 am Mountain Time on June 25, 2022 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 3300 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, Colorado 80305. We are making arrangements for online live-streaming of the service, and will hold a celebration of life following. Details will be provided. Kevin was born in Morristown, New Jersey on October 29, 1955 to Marilyn Francis Barry Sipple (1930-2021) and Paul Kevin Sipple — the first of six children. He is survived by his father, his siblings David Sipple, Brian Sipple, Margaret Sipple Srinivasan (Jeff), Kathleen Brummert (Wayne), and Brendan Sipple, and his nephews, Maxx and Beau Srinivasan, and Brendan Sipple.

Kevin’s family moved from New Jersey to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1959, and then to Lombard, Illinois in 1963. From there, they moved to Boulder, where Kevin graduated from Fairview High School in 1973, and remained after his family moved on two years later. Kevin worked at King Soopers grocery store in Table Mesa for many years, and studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 1983, he co-founded Eldorado Artesian Springs, Inc. with his two best friends, and served as Vice President until he retired in 2014. He lived in Eldorado Springs for nearly 40 years. Along with his partners, he was inducted into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.

Kevin was a gentle soul and a kind man. He pursued many interests and passions in his too-short life; he loved flying airplanes over Colorado and the Western U.S., riding motorcycles with his brother and friends, beekeeping, photography, and animals—Kevin loved animals! His family consisted, over the years, of a desert turtle, iguanas, snakes, and his beloved dogs; Katana, Chinook, Alex, Cody, and his Old English Sheepdogs Oliver and Shaggy.

Kevin also had a passion for helping people. He was very involved in his community for over 20 years as a member of the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA), the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado (SPCC), and as a volunteer in several Boulder County Agencies including the Placement Alternatives Commission, and the Sheriff’s Office Victim Assistance Program. Kevin was a member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA).

Kevin left this world too soon, but we take solace in knowing that he is with his beloved pets, and his mother and friends who predeceased him.
