  1. Myra was my first principal and positively shaped my skills as a school psychologist. I have continued to utilize skills I learned from her to this day (30 years later)! My sincere condolences to her family. She was a huge presence and a dynamic principal!

  2. Myra, a true friend who lifted spirits and showed elegance and class. Thanks for the years spent in Lincoln Towers, Manhattan. They were gifts to us.
Thanks to Jean and Dean for their devotion and care.
    Rest in peace, Myra.

  3. The world lost a great woman and I lost a mentor and friend. Under Myra’s guidance and leadership , I became the teacher I was proud to be. She demanded my best and taught me to be a strong and confident teacher. Her impact of my life and career have stayed with me to this day. My heartfelt condolences to all of her family. May she rest in peace.

  4. Nothing will ever compensate the loss of a dear friend.
Our visits to the museums and the Chelsea art galleries, the operas and movies which we attended together, the New York restaurants which we discovered …our respective experiences and cultural knowledges that we shared , yours were American and mine French. Et tant de choses encore…..All this will remain with me for ever.
May you rest in peace, très chère Myra.

  5. June 4th,2023 ended an 80 year friendship when my best friend, Myra died. Only death could have that power. Myra was my friend since Kindergarten. We loved school, and we went through the grades together in the Gifted Program. We played together, we studied together, we worked together in the retail shops, and we walked back and forth between our houses, studying at her house, eating at mine. In High School, we were the Class Officers. We ran the place as my Mom would say, often asking if we had the key to the school as we went early and we stayed late. High Scool was great fun; we managed to achieve academic excellence along with going to all of the dances, football games, and organizing the events for our class; we ran the show. I followed Myra to College. Again we were Officers in Kappa Delta Pi. We did much studying and much dating. I met my wonderful husband wearing a bathing suit that Myra lent me.! When she was in Long Island we visited her and when she moved to Manhattan, we loved going to her gorgeous apartment in Lincoln Towers; going to shows, dinners out, and sharing fun and friendship. Myra influenced my life perhaps more than any other person. I followed Myra into the teaching profession and I had the most gratifying and wonderful career teaching First Grade. When I count my blessings, Myra is high on the list. She personified “That’s What Friends are For.” Thank You, dear Friend, Myra. Rest in Peace. Love from your old friend, Louise
