Michael (Mike) Carroll of Austin, CO passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 64. He was surrounded by his wife Judy, son Justin, brother Tom, and best friend George. Mike was born in Bedford County, PA to Edward and Marilyn Carroll and spent most of his youth in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA.
He moved to the Western Slope of Colorado, where he married the love of his life, Judy Davies in 1997. Mike worked as a skilled machinist for various companies, ending his career working for A & B Machining in Delta.
Mike was a deeply committed husband and father. An avid reader, he also enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He advocated for the humane treatment of animals and cared deeply for his feline friends Aries and Nike.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marilyn Carroll and his brothers Kevin and John Carroll. Mike is survived by his loving wife Judy Davies; siblings, Rebecca (Wayne) Ward, Richard (Joyce) Carroll, Mary Sue (Erik) Osby, Tom (David) Carroll, and Paul (Sandy) Carroll; children, Justin (Rachel) Carroll, Jason Carroll, and Jeanann Harris; grandchildren, Emma, Brielyn, and Shane; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held in late spring this year with close friends and family to scatter his ashes on Grand Mesa, where he fell in love with his wife
