Marietta (Morse) Bliss passed away on June 6, 2024 at the age of 86 years old. She was born on February 12, 1938, in Anaconda Montana to Robert and Josephine Morse. She had a younger sister, Joanne Baines. She attended the University of Montana where she met Richard Bliss. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church on March 24, 1957, in Anaconda Montana. Together they had 3 children, Robert born in 1958, Randall in 1961 and Richelle in 1963. Marietta graduated from Anaconda High School, from University of Northern Colorado with a degree in French and from Regis University with a Master of Science in Management. She was a committed Christian her entire life and served in the music ministry beginning when she was 15 years old. She especially enjoyed playing for weddings and participating in large musical productions at the church. She served as an organist for several churches in Longmont Colorado. Marietta joined the work force when her children were grown. She was quickly promoted during her 20-year career. Her last position prior to retiring was as Vice President of Human Resources at a large financial services company in downtown Denver. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, and her sister Joanne. She is survived by her three children – Robert Bliss (Barbara), Randall Bliss and Richelle Bliss; grandchildren – Olivia Bliss and Audrey Bliss; and greatgrandchild – Lillian Ludewig. A memorial service will be held in the future.
