Elisyo Omar Loya passed away on October 29, 2024. He was 24 years old. Born on August 15, 2000, Elisyo began stealing the hearts of everyone that met him. Whether he was picking up a sport, playing a new video game, or taking up the guitar for the first time, he excelled at everything he tried.
Graduating from Roosevelt High School in 2019, he spent all four years playing guitar in the jazz band. He proudly spent the last five years working for Vestas, a wind turbine manufacturer in Windsor. He worked incredibly hard to become financially independent, and at 20 years old he purchased a house in Milliken. He described himself as an investor, crypto enthusiast, musician, and thinker, out to achieve greatness.
Always a nonconforming dreamer with a desire to give back, Elisyo did not want to be interred or cremated in any traditional sense. He wanted to be a tree. The family is steadfast in fulfilling that wish through an environmentally conscious process of returning the body to soil. A loving brother, son, and friend, Elisyo is survived by an incredibly vast network of family and friends.
We will hold a viewing for Elisyo on Friday, November 8th from 2pm to 4pm at The Natural Funeral, 1440 N Boise Ave, Loveland CO 80538, and a celebration of life for him on November 30th beginning at 2pm at the Forge Event Center located next to Grimm Brothers Brew House. There will be a reception to follow, we’ll have food and fellowship to share. Please join us in celebrating Elisyo.
Elisyo was so gifted and blessed by God with many talents. He was a soul that ran deep and, although you didn’t know exactly how he was thinking, you knew he was sensitive and caring toward others. He will be missed greatly because a grandson is not supposed to die before his parents and grandparents. I love you, Elisyo. God loves you! And there’s nothing that will ever change that!
Oh my gosh Lisyman, I feel so incredibly sad at the thought of not seeing you again, or hearing about your life, and seeing you grow. Yet I will feel your presence in so many ways. I will never forget your sweet joyous spirit even when you first came to be part of our family. I loved our first walks around the block in Windsor. I hope you know how VERY much you are loved and how very very very much you will be missed!💜💜💜
Elisyo was such a joy to be around. Loved singing in the church group and having Elisyo playing guitar. He was a very talented guitarist. His humor was very quiet but very infectious. My brother was in such awe the first time he heard Elisyo play. He stated that he could sit all day and listen to him.
Elisyo, you will be missed. Until we meet again, give the greatest concerts with all those that are with you. Thank you for letting me have just a little part of your life.
You will truly be missed gone way too soon, you were so talented 😢
Love you ❤️
Loya Family,
Our hearts ache for you with such loss. Elysio was a beautiful child who grew into a wonderful young man. A testament to the loving family you created.
Please know we are thinking of you and praying you feel God’s presence through this emotional tumult.
Remember doing the 5th grade talent show with lisyo and I remember them asking how to spell elisyos name and they put Elysio and him playing his guitar and me singing. (Thinking out loud)
His presence at Vestas will be missed. I had the good fortune to speak with him while working. He was quiet, by nature, but when he spoke he proudly mentioned his family. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet such a fine, young man. We are deeply saddened, by his loss, yet his memory will live on in our hearts. Prayers for your entire family.
Elisyo I love you so much. I’m going to miss you but I know you will be with us. Watching you grow from an infant, to child, teenager to the amazing you man you became was so special to me. You were so talented and would excell in everything you did from playing sports and the guitar. I will always love you and miss so much.
Elisyo I love you so much and will miss you always. Our grandkids should not die before their parents or grandparents. I watched my precious grow from an infant, child, teenager to the amazing young man you became. You excelled in everything that you did and were so very talented. I know I will always feel your presence.
Mr. and Mrs. Loya,
Those of us who worked alongside Elisyo, at Vestas, are heartbroken.
He was a fine colleague and will be missed. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work alongside him. His smile, his outlook and conversations we shared will be cherished.
You and your entire family are in my
prayers.
My dear boy! I remember the day you joined my Spanish class in 8th grade as if it was yesterday. I used to play the guitar for my classes and that day I was to do the same at the end of class. You told me that you played the guitar… and I thought to myself, hmm! Should I let him play my baby?! You modest young boy! You didn’t play the guitar, you made it come alive! I was so impressed with your passion and your talents that I would have loved to have you play every day. I can still see you when I close my eyes… and I see fire. The fire that lit your soul and your passion.
You will be missed so much!
The pastors, staff, and congregation members of Grace United Methodist Church in S. Augustine, FL wish to extend our sincere Christian sympathy to the family and friends at this time of sorrow.
Dear Elisyo, You left us all to soon. I have fond memories of you as a sweet little boy and later as a very talented and gifted musician. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Loya and Haddock family. Love you all!
Elisyo is definitely one of the best people I could’ve ever met, I miss him everyday more and more and the memories I shared with him will forever be irreplaceable. I will forever love and miss you. I appreciate you always being there for me and never failing to put a smile on my face. The memories we shared will live in my heart forever. Making food together, spending time with our close friends. I’ll miss our movie nights and the nights we would binge watch SpongeBob, thank you for it all. 💜 it was the biggest blessing to have known you.
God had a different path for you. You will be missed and you were loved cousin.
Elisyo, I was privileged to care for you as an infant, and then see you join the most incredibly loving and nurturing family – what a wonderful life you had. I enjoyed watching you grow through Candace’s social media posts and marveled at your musical talent! I remember taking you to UNC choir rehearsals when you were mere months old, and playing jazz for you as you fell asleep! You have blessed so many, and I hope to reconnect with your spirit one day in the afterworld. To the Haddock/Loya family: Y’all have been my heroes since the day I met you. Love and light to you all in this unbelievably difficult time.
