Anne Newell Breckenridge, 89, a resident of Superior, Colorado since 2003, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. Born on June 14, 1936, in Evanston, Illinois, Anne’s life was marked by a deep commitment to creativity, service, and family.
She pursued her education with passion and purpose, attending Randolph Macon in Virginia before graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Her academic journey continued with graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
Anne’s professional career was distinguished by her long tenure at Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, where she served as manager of the company’s facilities design team for 25 years. During this time, she played a pivotal role in developing Coca-Cola’s renowned Art Collection. Her exceptional eye for color and design left a lasting imprint not only on the corporate spaces she curated but also on her personal life that spoke to her artistic sensibility.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Anne was deeply devoted to serving others. A faithful Episcopalian throughout her life, she extended her compassion and energy to organizations such as United Way, the Girls and Boys Club of Metro Atlanta, and Hospice care services. Her dedication to these causes reflected a lifelong commitment to community and kindness.
Anne is survived by her beloved daughter Edrea Diane Volk; her granddaughters Kaley and Logan Cawthon; her son-in-law Del Nishimoto; and her sisters Susan Larson and Jane Lionberger.
