Anne Lydia Havens

Anne Lydia Havens, 45, passed away at her home in Arvada, Colorado on the morning of January 29, 2022, surrounded by her adoring family.

Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland on July 29, 1976, to Sharon and Marlin Dellinger, Anne had a lifelong passion for nature. She earned a degree in Outdoor Education from Salisbury University and led hands-on nature experiences for young people during her time with Nature’s Classrooms, Outward Bound and Wild Bear Nature Center.

John Muir’s quote “The mountains are calling and I must go” was never truer for free spirited Anne. She moved to Colorado seeking adventure, exploration, and personal growth. Hiking, camping, rafting, seeing live music with family and friends brought her much happiness and contentment.

She found a new career as a skilled esthetician graduating from the Spa Luna Holistic School in Maui, Hawaii. Having worked at spas in Steamboat Springs, Evergreen and Arvada, Colorado, making meaningful human connections was just as important to Anne as providing soothing treatments.

Anne’s grace, creative expression and playfulness shone particularly when she was hoop dancing. She loved to teach people of all ages the joys of hooping and could mesmerize a crowd with her performance.

Anne lived each day with intent, and in a vibrant way that inspired others. She was a radiant light in every space she entered. Even though she was taken too soon by cancer, she will always be remembered and held in love by those fortunate to have known her.

In addition to her parents, Anne is survived by her devoted husband Jim Havens, beloved daughters Violet Skye and Lydia Moon Havens, sister Justin Paidakovich (Mike), and niece Maren Paidakovich, aunt Joyce Kirk and cousins Kim Hess, Kristi Klockner and Kerrie Chamberlain and many, many dear friends. Anne’s world revolved around her family and friends, and she cherished these relationships.

A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Fairmount Bible Church 15100 West 48th Avenue Golden, Colorado 80403.

There will be a private burial service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Violet and Lydia Havens’ College Fund can be made through the donation page on the Havens’ Meal Train or checks to Jim Havens 5315 Beech Street Arvada, Colorado 80002

  6. Anne lived life with love and courage!

Courage is the measure of our heartfelt participation with life, with another, with a community, a work, a future. To be courageous, is not necessarily to go anywhere or do anything except to make conscious those things we already feel deeply and then to live through the unending vulnerabilities of those consequences.
