  8. Dear Amy,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Allen’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this very difficult time.

Allen was an extraordinary person whose dedication and vision left a profound and lasting impact on our community. During my time as acting director of the Alamogordo Public Library, I had the privilege of working closely with him and witnessing firsthand his passion for helping others and his unwavering commitment to improving our town.

When we embarked on the effort to build a new library, Allen played a pivotal role—not only as a co-chair of the building committee but also in the creation of the library foundation. His leadership, wisdom, and generosity laid the groundwork—both literally and figuratively—for a project that will benefit our community for generations to come.

I will always remember Allen for his thoughtful guidance, collaborative spirit, and his deep belief in the power of libraries to transform lives. His legacy of service, kindness, and vision will never be forgotten.

Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this time of loss. If there is anything I can do to support you or to honor Allen’s memory, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    With deepest sympathy,

  9. Dear Amy,

It is with great sorrow I found this today 1-14-2024!

Allen was one my oldest friends and we shared a remote friendship since 1979 after leaving
American Airlines. Spent a couple of years as my cubicle mate and was able to form
a friendship that lasted since then.

I followed him thru Hughes Aerospace and retirement to Almagordo.

We both loved cars especially Porche!

He was known to send some of the most unique greetings cards for holidays
    and birthdays!

I knew him as a very kind and smart person who seemed a little shy in
the beginning, but really blossomed once he found you Amy!

We were so glad he found the love of his life and he seem
to relish his new family. He was always updating us on
    your latest books.

If there is anything I can do please reachout to me!!
