Aaron Blaise Treeson, age 41, passed away at his home in Boulder, CO on December 29, 2025.
Better known as Blaise, he was born on August 22, 1984 to parents, David and Sarah Treeson, in Albuquerque, NM. Highly curious and with a love for nature, Blaise decided to leave home to finish high school at Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, CO which fed his adventurous spirit with dedicated programs and opportunities to explore the outdoors. He participated in several outdoor education programs through NOLS and Outward Bound, furthering his love of the natural world and laying the foundation for his sustainable advocacy. Blaise graduated from Colorado College in 2007 with his BA then went on to gain a Master of Architecture from the University of New Mexico (‘12) and a Master of Science in Building Systems and Engineering from the University Colorado Boulder (’15).
He was an active member of his community and volunteered for many years at Habitat for Humanity, starting when he was in high school. More recently, he helped with food prep for Meals on Wheels and Project Angel Heart.
Blaise was an avid traveler, traversing the globe and sending friends and family watercolor postcards of his travels. He loved food and drink and spent much of his free time brewing unique beers or cooking up a gourmet meal. He was the dedicated chef for the overland and camping trips hosted by Titus Adventure Co. And many weekends found him camping with his pup, Monty, fly fishing in a local stream, or spending time with his family and girlfriend over dinner and a good bottle of wine.
Blaise is survived by his parents, Sarah and David, and his younger sister, Zoe. The many people who loved him will keep his memory and spirit alive in their hearts. To continue his legacy, the family encourages people to donate to his favorite nonprofits—Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. Blaise will be much missed.
